Ramsbottom Show Review

J. Swift,  A. Tilley,  S. Sadler,  S. Tilley.

The day began with members meeting at The Mercury Hotel in Westhoughton, early on a damp Sunday morning. Our spirits soon to be lifted by the various and many beautiful older classic cars undertaking the vintage Rally. All makes and models seamed to be catered for from Austin A35's to Pre-War Rolls-Royces.

Once at the show ground, despite the many different clubs in attendance, The Granada Members Guild, were the only club to make any effort with the club stand (See above photo). Other clubs seamed to be happy enough simply to display their vehicles.

The club stand consisted of four vehicles:
•  S. Tilley's Mk2 2.8 Ghia
•  S. Sadler's Mk3 24valve Cosworth Estate
•  J. Swift's Mk4 Cosworth Ulitma Saloon
•  C. Hanton's Mercedes C180
We all enjoyed the Ramsbottom show for it fantastic variation in vehicles and very friendly atmosphere. As for stalls, facilities and entertainment, Ramsbottom was very lacking.
