Southport 2005.

An excellent turnout with a wide variety of vehicles. Set within Southport's Victoria Park, facilities were well above par. Pleasant and relaxing surroundings with many attractions within walking distance of the show ground. Something for everybody?

On the Granada Members Guild Stand, we had our usual attendees, Steve Sadler, Jim Swift, Colin Hanton, Harold Yates & Kevin Swift.

As is becoming the every increasing norm for the Granada Members Guild, a fantastic day was had by everyone who attended. Having a good selection of vehicles on show, including Gary's 1960's Ford Popular and Harold's Monster truck, helped us gain lots of extra attention. Those who stayed late on into the evening were apparently treated to the concert comeback of 80's pop hero Rick Astley!

Southport had put an awful lot of thought and attention into this show, with only minor niggles which hopefully will be addressed next year. We would  liked to have seen more attention paid to the planning and  location of the club stands, having cars of a similar genre together. Certainly one of the better shows this year.
